HON AJALA INAUGURATES BURSARY DISBURSEMENT COMMITTEE

The Executive Chairman, Odi-olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Rasaq Olusola Ajala, has inaugurated the committee for bursary disbursement to the indigent students of Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA.
While inaugurating the committee in his office yesterday, the chairman said, 'It is very important my government fulfill the promises made to the people of the local council during my electioneering." According to him, he stated that as a government, there must be a total commitment to social intervention to help our people, especially those who could not afford to sponsor their children's education. "Many parents are not financially buoyant to sponsor their children's education. The intervention of this administration is crucial," he said.
"The narrative out there is that nothing good could come out from Odiolowo/Ojuwoye and Mushin environs. However, with this intervention, and many other projects this administration had executed, we are proving them wrong," he added.
Hon Ajala thereby promised that the committee members would be given all the support needed to execute the task before them. He advised them to be objective and sincere in the selection of the candidates. The chairman of the committee, Mr Tunde Williams, a lecturer at Lagos State Polytechnics expressed his gratitude to the chairman on behalf of the committee for the privilege given to them. He pledged that all the members on the committee would be objective in the selection of students who will benefit from the bursary.
Other members on the committee are Dr Nwonye of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital(LUTH), Hon Justin K. Olaniyan, a former Education Secretary at Mushin Local Government, Mrs Rukayat Imam, Mr Okedara Sunday Ademola, Mrs Elizabeth Olinmah and Gbemisola Ajoke Bashirat who is to serve as the secretary to the committee.
Other people at the event were the Vice Chairman, Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Seyi Jakande, Secretary to the local council development area, Hon Mujeeb Ayinde Daramola, Head of Administration, Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Mr Omotosho Shakirudeen, Supervisor for Education, Hon Abdul-lateef Akisemonyin, Youths and sports, Rodiat Ifeoluwa Jimon, Hon AbduRafiu Bola Obale, Supervisor for health, HOD Education, Mrs Elizabeth Adetimehin.
